tasting notes
colour - a strong and brightly lit hue of vibrant reds
nose - a very distinctive and highly aromatic perfume of spicy ripe plums, chocolate and red berries. In addition the lifted aroma of vanilla contributed by the French oak barriques
palate - a soft and supple wine whose balance provides an immediate appeal with its fruit driven flavours and textured palate
winemaking a fermentation period of 10 days followed by a further 10 days of skin contact have kept the tannins as fine grained as possible. The wine matured in French oak for 8 months
vintage conditions an extremely long cool ripening period and a late harvest helped produce the subtleties of the merlot variety
