2002 SAUVIGNON BLANC - $16.00
These 28-year-old vines have produced a crisp classic Dry White wine. The varietal aromas of ripe tropical fruits are evident but the palate is clean, and crisp. A refreshing wine that suits being chilled. James Halliday describes this wine:
“Light to medium yellow-green; the bouquet is clean and fresh, with a nice touch of passionfruit, the light-bodied palate with an echo of the bouquet, and a minerally finish. Simply lacks intensity, but well made.”
Recommended chilled to accompany spicy foods such as Asian or Thai. The palate cleansing nature of this wine allows you to enjoy each mouthful of food without any interference from the wine. Would go very well with chilli prawns, satays, soups and medium to hot curries. Also great with cold seafood.
