The almond eyes are not the only feature that exhibit this wine's exotic beauty – grapefruit, quince and lychee notes swirl around and bewitch the palate, without befogging it or smothering anything else. Greatly seductive in revealing its aromatic charms, yet clear and straight, from the beginning to the finish. The acidity is elegant and steely, the minerals are unemotional and pure; its fruit character, though rich, stays crystal-clear. I had the pleasure of enjoying this Weißburgunder with Alpine salmon poached in butter. And the wine did the incredible: it made the fish swim for a second time…
